Stirring verse astonishes us, brings us to a deeper understanding of ourselves and the world, connects us to God. Like a stone skipped across water, this workshop will voice familiar Bible verses, then ripple outward to include spiritual poems from the Middle East, Europe, Japan and the United States from the 13th century up to the present day.
Diana Engel delights in using poetry to grow the inner self and strives to make enjoying a poem as soul-filling as singing a prayerful hymn. A believer in the transformative power of verse, she has shared it with many fellow travelers to help them find their own unique voices. She has led workshops for Greensboro Creative Center, Writers’ Group of the Triad, and Greensboro Public Library.
