Founders Day Celebration
The annual Founders Day is Sunday, November 10th, beginning at 10:00 a.m. in the Fellowship Hall. The theme for our 270th year is “A Path to Founders Day 300: 2054 “. Our guest speaker will be Wess Daniels of Friends Center at Guilford. There will be a ‘carry-in” luncheon at the Rise of Service.
Christian Education
The next meeting of the Christian Education Committee will be November 6th at 6:30pm in the Fellowship Hall. Anyone is welcome to attend.
Poinsettia Sale
Help support relief efforts for Western North Carolina in wake of Helene by purchasing a beautiful red poinsettia for $12 each. Sale starts November 1st and ends November 25th. Pickup will be December 22nd at noon in the Meeting House at Deep River Friends Meeting. Call the office 336-454-1928 for more information and ordering.
Deep River Fall Festival
Saturday, October 26 – 5:00-6:30. Join us for a “Soup”-er Spookier Fall Festival Trunk-or-Treat! Trunk decorating will start at 4:30 pm.
Helping Those in Need
During our October Monthly Meeting, members decided to assist our neighbors in the NC Mountains devastated by Hurricane Helene.
Flags for Veterans
If you know of anyone buried in our graveyard that was a veteran, please notify Susie Jones at sj5221976@gmail.com or 336-688-5050. She will be placing flags for Veterans Day.
Little Free Peace Pantry
If you would like to contribute throughout the month there will be baskets located both in the Sanctuary and Fellowship Hall. The list of preferred items will be on the baskets.
