Philip Raines to serve as Deep River Friends Meeting’s next pastor

Beginning July 1, 2023, Phillip Raines will become the new Pastor at Deep River Friends Meeting. After an exhaustive search and vetting process Phillip emerged as the most qualified applicant. Phillip’s background as a Quaker Pastor and most recently as a chaplain at Novant Health gives him the knowledge, expertise and temperament to lead Deep River Friends forward – energizing our current members and attenders while reaching out to the larger community in and around the Deep River area.
